Recently I’ve loved these favourite recipe posts of 2014 that have popped up over the blogosphere over the past few weeks, a kind of ‘Top of the Pops’ of blog posts. I normally do my own each year as it’s a nice way to showcase and look back at my favourite recipes from over the year, but this year, like some other blogs I’d like to share YOUR top 10 favourite recipes and links from 2014.
1. Peanut Butter Protein Brownies
Peanut butter and chocolate is one of my favourite flavour combinations…Reese’s peanut butter cups anyone? It seems that you are also fans and these super fudgy brownies and was your favourite recipe creation from 2014.
2. Salted Almond Butter Flapjacks
I fell in love with flapjacks all over again last year, especially my super healthier versions. This recipe was featured in Women’s Fitness UK and has fast become a staple snack food for me.
3. Blueberry and Almond Polenta Cake – gluten free
This was my first time experimenting with polenta in baking and I was really chuffed with how it came out. If you love almonds and blueberries then you won’t be disappointed with this one!
4. Sweet Chilli Chicken Pasta with Philadelphia
Italian food is one of my favourite cuisines, just a few ingredients can produce the most delicious food. I love how quick and easy this recipe is, perfect for weekday meals.
5. No Bake Chia and Coconut Bars
Making my own snack bars is something that I really got into last year. No-bake recipes are fuss free and can be whipped up in minutes. It’s nice to know that I’ve got a healthy homemade snack on hand when I get the munchies.
6. Banana and Coconut Mini Loaves
Ahhhh…banana bread, one of life’s greatest baking inventions! Banana bread is great, but when teamed up with coconut it takes it to a whole new level of awesomeness, I love this recipe.
7. No Bake Peanut Butter and Coconut Balls
Another speedy no-bake snack recipe that I love to whip up when my snack bar stash is depleted. These snack balls are full of lots of healthy fats that will keep your belly satisfied on-the-go and between meals.
8. Salted Peanut Butter Granola
Granola can be a bit of a trigger food for me, so I’m glad that I’ve learnt to make my own healthier versions over the past few years. I blogged a couple of granola recipes last year, but my Salted Peanut Butter Granola was your favourite.
9. Double Chocolate Grain Free Muffins
This recipe was a spin on a fudgy brownie, I remember wanting something a bit different that was still chocolatey and indulgent in a healthy way and these were really fitted the bill.
10. Fruit and Nut Raw Chocolate
Raw chocolate fast became one of my favourite healthy living discoveries and I was shocked with how easy it is to make at home.
