What happened to April?!

It feels like the fourth month of the year has just flown by and crept sneakily into May without anyone noticing. So much has happened in the last month or so such as potential business opportunities and lots of fun stuff on the blog.
The Healthy Baking Competition was so much fun and I absolutely loved receiving all of your entries.
Take a look at the competition Pinterest board and get pinning some amazing healthy bakes to add to your recipe collection.

I had a lovely trip to London and caught up my friend and reacquainted myself with WholeFoods. It would have been rude not to have picked up a few goodies for myself to take home – they didn’t last long!
Some of my beauty products have been given an overhaul with more natural and organic ingredients. I’m loving using the belly butter and organic oil on my bump in the morning and the coconut oil in the evening.
It has been a great month for catching up with family and friends over Easter which is always fab! We were surrounded by our friends cute baby girls – it was so lovely to meet them for the first time. My brother came to stay and we went out for a fantastic meal at Sojo.
I’ve been in the kitchen experimenting again this month and featured some lovely recipes on the blog:

If you make anything this month then make sure it’s these, my family loved them! But if cookies aren’t your thing then perhaps some of these might tickle your fancy: Almond, Raspberry and Orange Bites, Chinese 5 Spice Chicken Meal Idea and my Sweet Chilli Chicken Pasta with Philadelphia.
Also this month…
I was so excited to have been picked as blogger of the week over at Get the Gloss! You can read my full interview here.
Also, my very first article was published over on the Cosmopolitan UK blog exploring the pros and cons of sugar alternatives, check it out! I’ve had two guest posts published on the fabulous Where are My Knees? on how to make the perfect green smoothie and another one over at Sparkles and Sprint on how to get more veggies into your meals. Phew! It has been a super busy month!
Some of my favourite posts from April include:
New beauty buys – natural ingredients
{Fashion Friday} New Look Fashion Picks £25 and under
Looking forward, I’m pretty much all about getting ready for the baby and getting the house prepared whilst I can still can and looking at courses. We have been clearing out cupboards this week to make some extra storage. It’s amazing how much junk you can accumulate without even realising it. Fingers crossed that we can find out the baby’s sex at our next scan as we have a massive shopping trip planned afterwards, in celebration, there’s so much cute stuff that we haven’t been able to buy as it’s gender specific. Also, we are planning a little mini break at the end of the month as a mini holiday, which I’m really looking forward to. I have more blog stuff in the pipeline such as newsletter, which hopefully will launch next month too!
Well that’s my April in review. I hope that it was a good month for you and I wish you a fabulous May ahead!
How was April for you? Do you have any nice plans for May?

Healthy baking sounds like a fab idea – heading over to check out your recipes – especially the almond, raspberry and orange bites. My tummy is rumbling already!

April has been great for you! I’ve enjoyed April with the nicer weather and the marathon. Now I’m looking forward to even nicer (and more consistent) weather and a nice trip to Wales at the end of May to see my grandad.
Sounds like a great month, this year really is flying by. I’m going out for Chinese tonight and that picture from your meal is really making me hungry!
I don’t know where April went- mental! Happy May 🙂
I can’t believe May is here- got to love 2 bank holidays though! We are off to Brighton on Monday which should be lovely as the weather is meant to be good.
All those recipes look fab.
Will be great to grab a mini break before it gets too hot and you get too pregnant to feel comfortable away from home.
May is the month of my hen-do! It’s in two weeks time now and I’m really looking forward to it! 🙂
