Now just incase you had become bored of my weekly style and fashion picks I’ve got something a little different for you today. Still focusing on my own personal fashion picks, but for someone else in mind. With a little one on the way in only 5 months time, I have been looking at various baby outfits and making a wish list of some of the things that I would like to buy.
At this point in time, we don’t know the sex of the baby, although I have very strong feelings that I’m carrying a boy. It’s too hard to resist the temptation and not shop when you are expecting, and with a Mum like mine, you will be dragged around the shops kicking and screaming to do some baby shopping if you want to or not. She’s really in her element and loves the idea of being a Nana, bless her!
I’m very much into having a natural pregnancy as much as possible and I know that this maybe out of my hands and not possible in some instances, I would like to try as much as I can on the things I can control. I’ve found a lovely organic baby clothing company called Nature’s Purest, who make the most adorable clothes and accessories. They are on the pricier side of life, but I managed to pick some stuff up in the sale.
Sleep suit, vest, hat and bib set all for £15.00 (reduced from £30 as the mittens were missing)
I picked up this cute koala bear teething ring too. It’s dual purpose as it’s also a rattle, I love how the koala bear is clutching the wooden ring.
My Mum bought these cute baby grows, hats and vests from the Junior J range in Debenhams. This unisex range is full of lovely items and the baby literally has nearly has everything except for a thick snow suit, which I think I will have to buy to finish it off.
I got the matching bibs too!
GAP had a 40% off promotion on some of their baby clothes and I was really impressed with the quality. I bought this super soft receiving blanket and matching vest that were both in the promotion.
I thought this sleep suit was really cute and liked the zip detail.
And I just couldn’t resist this vest, as it’s already true! I bought the socks as I thought that they were a bargain.
These mittens are from H&M and are made from organic cotton. For £1.99 I thought that they were a great deal.
Now here’s for the cutest thing EVER! If you didn’t know, Alfie has a thing for all things Ralph Lauren, he loves the preppy style and has amassed quite a collection. He was having a bad day at work so I thought that he needed cheering up and popped to Bicester Village to buy him a gift:
A baby Polo top, it’s so cute! If you thought that was sweet the checkout the difference in size in the baby’s top and one of Alfie’s. I sent Alfie this photo the other day and he was walking around the hospital with a grin on his face all day.
So much cuteness! I haven’t bought anything since this little haul as we now have only 3 weeks to our 20 week scan when we will find out the sex of the baby! I cannot wait to find out what we are having. Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point wrote a brilliant post on the pros and cons of finding out the sex, one of the pros was that it creates a stronger bond between you and the unborn baby and I would be inclined to agree. Exciting times ahead!
Pregnant or not, would you find out the sex of your baby or would you prefer to wait?

First, congratulations. Pregnancy first months are so exciting once you pass the scared phase!! I’ve always wanted a girl and have had the name picked since I was 12, but when I fell pregnant, I had such a strong feeling that my name wouldn’t fit, I panicked and made a huge list of other names, until it occurred to me that I might expect a boy! It all made sense!!! I also shopped for unisex and yellow clothes at the beginning and was attracted to blue stuff too even though up until that moment it was so foreign to me!! The 20w scan confirmed my instincts, I cried!!!
If you set your heart on a certain clothes brand, I would say, wash them once or twice first, see how the quality is. For example, clothes from HM and MS are so soft when you buy them, but they don’t stay that way (that doesn’t stop me from buying them though because the shape is perfect and the price is right for my pocket) !! SO best test on a small sample of expensive clothes, if you are happy with the post wash result, then maybe invest in those 😉

Dan and I have always said we wouldn’t find out and would like to keep a little bit of surprise until the day. We’ve known the gender of all of our nieces and nephews from the scans beforehand though.

Baby clothes are so cute! Well, 4 girls have been born to close friends and family in the last 4 months and I think that we are due a boy. I don’t know I just have such a strong feeling, but either way the baby will is a blessing. 🙂
Prior to expecting I had a prophetic dream of giving birth to a bbb. I also had strong maternal feeling(deline to know but told the lovely sonagrapher of the prophetic dream)too & guess what? I was spot on! I hope your mama intuition is accurate, Jemma:) Uber-cute baby haul btw!
Pregnancy was lovely(cherish this time lovely:), can’t say the same for the birth thought(had to have an emergency csection in the end)!

C-section? Oh no! At least everything turned out well for you both in the end. 🙂 I don’t mind what we have really, but it would be nice to say that my intuition is accurate. 🙂
I’m so excited for you, reading all your posts in anticipation for bump! Personally, I would like the surprise, so I wouldn’t find out. I’d enjoy all those it’s a boy/ it’s a girl feelings…That way when the little cub arrives you can’t have over thought how you are are going to be, or how you think he/she is going to be. Therefore create your own bond naturally as it comes. Either way, they’ll be lovely!

How exciting! Junior J make the most wonderful baby clothes. I am with you on the natural and organic approach for pregnancy and trying to stay away from nasty chemicals.
It’s really important to me to try to where I can.
Oh man, I am going to want to know the sex of the baby as soon as possible! It’s hard to imagine waiting so long, haha! However, I have friends who waited until their baby was born to find out and they were really happy that they did.

I would say that although I am not superstitious, I always find it strange when people find out beforehand because scans can be wrong (although near me the hospitals won’t tell you because of issues with certain types of cultures). I also know some people who have named their babies before they are born, which I think is a bit strange – almost bad luck but I can’t really explain why.
Hahaha! Well we already had our names picked out before we got pregnant. 🙂 I’m not superstitious at all either, but I can never buy birthday cards too far in advance probably for the same reason that you describe. 🙂
