Something I should do more often

March has just been magical for so many different reasons – to be honest I knew that it was going to be a good and a very busy month from the very start.  This month is definitely one where I woken up and got out the right side of the bed.  It seems the arrival of spring has really put a spring in my step.

It began on a apprehensive note, with me giving up my job in London in order to find something more in line with what I wanted to achieve in my career and let’s be honest this could have been a disaster, but everything seems to be coming together and I have some exciting plans in the pipeline too.  Surprisingly, even though I’m not currently working my days are satisfyingly filled to the brim, which I never really expected.

Another highlight of this month was that I totallly didn’t realise that my lab had finally published this research paper which I was involved in. Anyone interested in glial ATP and it’s impact on phasic and tonic inhibition in the CNS have a read – riveting stuff! =)

Obviously, the most exciting this month for me was finally being able to share my big news and update on the blog.  Again thank you so much for your kind congratulations – I really do have the most loveliest readers EVER!  Alongside this, I also had my first scan and got to meet our little lentil for the first time, which was a truly magical experience.

This month I also turned 28, which some would say was on the wrong side of 25, but I was really looking forward to it.  Alife, surprised me with a wonderful bouquet of spring flowers, which are still going strong.

There was a wonderful meal at and cocktails at The Manor.  Geez that meal was good and the perfect birthday celebration.  I would definitely love to go back there again.

Of course I’ve  also been trying to get to grips with my new toy.  I can’t believe how different it is from  a regular PC.  I’m getting there slowly, but so far I love it.  It’s so pretty too!

If that wasn’t enough to make March truly magnificent, yesterday I went on a spa day with my mum for Mother’s Day, more on what we got up to later this week.  Being pampered for the day was amazing and we had a very delicious Mother’s Day lunch too, including this tasty looking chocolate delices with caramel ice cream, heaven!

I’ve been getting busy in the kitchen this month and whipped up a batch of my now favourite grain free chocolate muffin recipe, made a lovely Oriental Vegetable & Cashew Salad and some fantastic Creamed Coconut Wholemeal Crepes or Pancakes.

My favourite posts from March include:

April....... Oh to see that chartreuse color on the threes...

I’m really looking forward to the start of next month and it’s looking set to be another busy and productive one.   Spring cleaning is definitely on the cards, my wardrobes are definitely in the need for a major edit and tidy up.  I have already started this process but want to finish it off and have a look at what still fits and what really doesn’t suit me anymore.  Also after my pampering session yesterday I’m very much into looking at my beauty routine and taking care of myself.  Last month I started to buy some new beauty products and I’m hoping to buy a couple of more bits to help me feel good and fresh and ready for spring.

How was March for you?  Do you have any exciting plans for April?
