Hello, my loves! Hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend!
You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting my usual Sunday posts recently this is because one: I’ve become crap at taking pictures of my food and two: they were becoming too repetitive. I seem to go through cycles with my food and eat the same things, resulting in boring weekly round ups. Plus, I’m really enjoying having blog free weekends to spend quality time with my family. Instead, I’m going to post one or two day in the life posts. I adore these types of blog posts, I’m so nosey and if you’re like me I hope you will enjoy them.

Today I’m going take you way back (well it feels that way!) to the first week in January. An exciting day was about to get underway, but first it was time to drink my morning elixir of warm water with lemon. I drank this while doing some very early morning blogmin before Aiden woke up.
For breakfast, I made my Super Creamy Apple & Ginger Green Smoothie and a mug of chai tea for a caffeine kick, while Aiden ate his banana bread porridge with cinnamon.
After a quick tidy up and whizz round with the hoover, it was time to get dressed. I always get Aiden ready first and then me second. I decided to wear the newest Breton striped top in my collection with my favourite statement necklace.
Later that morning, it was time to get stuck into an exciting project that I blogged about a few weeks back. My collaboration with HomeSense for Sports Relief meant that my kitchen turned into a studio for the afternoon. Alfie was on annual leave so he took Aiden out for the afternoon for some dada and toddler bonding time. I seriously had a blast, such a fun project to work on and for an amazing cause too.

We finished filming way past lunch and after clearing up the kitchen and putting it back together I was more than ready for lunch. I was starving, so went for the quickest thing possible – a Covent Garden vegetable soup (I had the entire carton) and some sourdough bread.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with this crazy little guy!
I decided to squeeze in a short run before dinner. It was freezing cold outside and dark, I really didn’t want to go but reminded myself how great I would feel afterwards. All in all, I managed about 30 minutes, which isn’t bad going, but felt that I could have pushed myself further!

Dinner was this (unattractive, ha!) plate of leftovers. It was a chicken casserole with a Mexican twist with broccoli that I had steamed in the microwave. The boys had basmati rice with theirs too.
After dinner, we got Aiden ready for bed, probably one of my favourite times of the day – bath time is always so much fun! Once the little man was settled in for the evening I got some more work done and ate my evening snack of full-fat Greek yoghurt, berries and passion fruit curd. Once I’d finished, I then had my liquorice and peppermint tea and snuggled up with my book before calling it a night.

What a lovely day you had how do you rate the book so far and love the sound of your snack! Bath time is always fun and it is nice to see them have fun!
The book is amazing and I highly recommend it! 🙂
Awww that picture of you and your wee man, the way he’s looking up at you – precious! 😀 That smoothie sounds really nice, I love creamy ones – need to get back into making more! Your necklace is gorgeous as well!
Thanks, Sarah! I do love a good statement necklace to finish off an outfit.
Love seeing insights like this. I have a Breton top (well several striped tops…) just like that too 🙂 Looking forward to hearing about how your project unfolds x
A girl after my own heart, I love stripes!
You have had a really busy day and achieved so much. Brilliant time management.
Thank you, Nayna.
I love day in the life posts, as I love to see what other people get up to – especially other bloggers. I keep meaning to do one, but always forget.
I struggle to remember to keep taking photographs of my day!
I love fruit smoothies. But for some reason I just can’t bring myself to drink green ones. Don’t know why!
You can’t even taste the green! You could start gradually then build up.
Sounds like a great day- I love reading about how other bloggers spend their days!
Same here, it’s so interesting!
I love those soups. And I love that they do them in huge cartons now. So tasty and filling. Beautiful necklace too!
The huge cartons are brilliant! I always get them when they’re on offer.
Love day in the life posts! Well done for going for a run in the dark – my running has suffered so much lately with the terrible weather we’ve had! X
It’s so difficult to find the motivation isn’t it! Glad that the evenings are getting lighter now though.
Sounds like you had a great day, I bet the filming was fun! Your little man is far too cute!

It was such a fun filled day!
Those soups are great for a quick dinner.
I don’t mind running in the dark- I just put on lights and high viz. It does mean nice routes like the fields are out of bounds though.
Ha! Yes, I can imagine getting stuck in a muddy swap, running through fields in the dark.
Wow what a great time you have. Looking forward to watching the Homesense video.
Blogging does bring some wonderful and fun opportunities!
