Well what an exciting week this has been.  There was my big news and update, my lovely birthday celebrations and there was even a delicious grain free chocolate muffin recipe.  All in all it has been a pretty amazing week.  This weekend has been awesome too as I have been spending quality time with my family, which is one of my favourite things to do, love them all so much!

This week I have been getting stuck in to my gym workouts and really enjoying them.  I thought I would start logging my workouts on the blog again so you can see what I have been up to and a way for me to track my fitness throughout my pregnancy.

Monday – Rest

Tuesday – Birthday shopping trip – 3 hours of walking

Wednesday – 30 minutes of gentle cardio (10 minutes each on the treadmill (walking), cross trainer and bike), strength routine

Thursday – 15 minutes of my own yoga flow

Friday – 20 minutes of gentle cardio (10 minutes each the cross trainer and bike), strength routine and stretching

Saturday – Rest

Sunday – swim and short gym workout

I’ve slowly discovered that I can’t keep up in my spinning class any more and do struggle with it.  Since realising this I’ve now alternated my weekend class each week to see how I get on.  Essentially I’m just doing what I can when I can.

Banana chai spiced oats cooked on the hob was a great start to the day. I do love my porridge in the mornings and these really hit the spot, especially when topped with dried fruit and cashew butter, yum!

My appetite for my regular eats is slowly returning and I’ve been really liking salads like this, just full of good stuff.  This included mixed salad leaves, red pepper, edamame beans, tomatoes, chickpeas, cucumber and a mango dressing.

I love my curry’s and this homemade lamb madras curry packed full of veggies was a great Friday night dinner.  I served it with steamed kale and half peshwari naan bread topped with butter.

For a quick week day meal I cooked a load of peppers, asparagus and pak choi in a sweet chilli sauce with a salmon fishcake and spring onions.

My favourite treat of the week would have to be this Raw Chocolate Pie – I love these things, well any raw chocolate really.  I can only ever eat half a bar at one time as they are very rich.

To top off a fantastic week my lovely Mum and I are off to get pampered in a spa today for Mother’s Day.  I cannot wait, it’s much needed for the both of us.
