How are we already in December already? This is year is flying by and it’s actually quite scary. Alas, we have made it to my favourite time of year, I love it as it’s such a special time.
The penultimate month of the year has been pretty spectacular to say the least for me. I spent nearly half of the month away celebrating my first wedding anniversary in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Needless to say I had the most amazing time in these two stunning locations.
Extraordinarily I got to meet and bake with the very lovely Gok Wan:
He’s bloody brilliant and my full Q&A post is going live tomorrow.
We went to the Christmas Lights Festival in town to get into the festive spirit:

Delicious churros and amaretto hot chocolate were devoured.
At work we got into the spirit of charity and raised money for Children in Need:

Those cupcakes were so tasty, everyone went to town in decorating them.

I also shared my Activia recipe for Slow Cooked Jerk Pork Stew, delicious!
I’ve been making such a conscious effort to get back in to the groove after my honeymoon. The jet lag was killing me when we first returned, but everything is back to normal now and I’m back in the swing of things. There has also been some lovely relaxing days and time at home to recuperate from the business at work right now.
On the blog this month:
-
I posted about the things that I had learnt from my holiday
-
A new to me cooking app– the pictures are beautiful

Ideas on how to make the treadmill fun using HIIT
Again there are no real goals for this month, just a few things that I would like accomplish. Some things that I would like to get done next month are developing my blog a little more and take the next steps in creating a newsletter, more on that soon. Of course it is the festive season, so there is plenty of fun to be had. I’m looking forward to creating Christmas recipes, spending quality time with my family and the run up to the big day.
How was November for you? Apart from the obvious, what are you most looking forward to this month?
