OK, so where did May go! We are officially halfway through the year already…eeek!
May was such a fantastic month for me despite a small blip at the end of the month, no real complaints for me. Obviously, the major highlight of the month has to be my 20 week scan where we discovered that we are having a beautiful baby boy and more importantly he is strong and healthy too.
We feel so blessed and cannot wait to meet our little man in September. We went on a major shopping trip to celebrate and are completely besotted with him already! Sorry to be so slushy, but the unbelievable love that I feel for this baby already is something I never knew was possible.
The sunshine has meant that I have been able to get out and about on long walks around our village and surrounding countryside. Everything seems so much better when the sun is shining!
Towards the end of the month we took a mini break to York and North Yorkshire, which I will be sharing with you later this week. May has also included lots of time with my family, Alfie finally passing his driving test and a family Christening just this weekend.
I’ve shared some lovely recipes on the blog this month including my No Bake Chia and Coconut Bars, Honey and Almond Cake, Chinese 5 Spice Chicken Meal Idea, Peri-Peri Socca Pizza.
Some of my favourite posts from May include:
Demystifying the world of the humble chia seed
My favourite picks and thoughts on OM Yoga (May edition)
Fabulous foods to help boost your immunity
My interview with Sara Wilson – I Quit Sugar for Life
{Fashion Friday} Ahoy there sailor!

On the blog I started to record videos again for my YouTube channel after a long hiatus. I’m hoping to do at least 2 a month, but May I seemed to be on a roll and managed 3…go me! You can catch up with May’s videos here. I’m also working on some new projects for the blog and have some exciting plans in the pipeline that will be revealed in the upcoming months….exciting times ahead!
Currently I have two giveaways launched in May that end in June, so please check those out if you haven’t already:

With the start of June and just over 3 months until the little one arrives we are very keen to get the house baby ready and ship-shape for his arrival. We have some creative ideas up our sleeves to make our little cottage work for the baby and have been getting some ideas together for the nursery too. Also, we are in the process of buying more of the bigger items that we will need like a travel system and cot. Fun times ahead! 🙂 I do have some lovely things to look forward to in June, some fab recipes up my sleeves and fingers crossed we get some sunshine too!
How was May for you? What are you most looking forward to in June?
