Oh what a month you have been February…
Albeit a short month, February started with a bang and has been truly magical for me in so many ways. There has been lots going on involving lots of big changes and even though the year has barely started the it’s shaping up to be a magnificent and I’m really looking forward to what it has in store. Life is pretty amazing right now!

Alfie and I went on a great shopping trip at the beginning of the month and enjoyed our first afternoon tea. This is one tradition that I could definitely get used to, such a treat!

One year later I finally got my hair cut…yay! I’m not sure how I managed to leave it that long, but in a bid to take better care of myself I’m aiming to be a more frequent regular of my hairdressers.

Even though we never celebrate Valentine’s Day in our house, I decided to cook a lovely meal of herbed lamb with roasted roots and greens, which was amazing. I do love a tasty roast dinner – it’s always the simple things in life.
Due to the storms we ended up abandoning our home for the day after waking up to a power cut. We ended up window shopping, road testing cars and having a lovely pub lunch. That calzone was fantastic, I was quite surprised.

I’ve been cooking up a storm in the kitchen this month and shared many delicious recipes including this Moroccan Lamb Tagine. Also, Salted Peanut Butter Granola, Banana and Coconut Mini Loaves, Baked Asparagus and Caprese Salad Topper. Check out my recipe page for more yummy action.

The next few months there are lots of changes in store for me. Something that I have yet to discuss on the blog is that I’m currently not working. I decided to leave my current job for a a variety of reasons, one of the main reasons being that I’m looking for something a little bit different. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy my previous job because that would be a lie – I loved it! However, there was a sense of something missing and with Alfie’s support (he really is amazing) and after some long talks I decided to leave and dedicate my time in finding something new and something that made me feel more inspired rather than being stuck in a groove and following a routine. Some of you may think I’m mad, but I know without a doubt that this is the right decision for me right now and have already made some positive progress on this front. Exciting times ahead!
March is looking to be a fantastic month with some important and exciting meetings planned (eek!), my birthday, fantastic posts for the blog, recipe ideas, spring (hopefully!) oh and not forgetting that pancake day is just around the corner…squeeel! I’m really looking forward to the next few months, it really is an exciting time and I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the ride.
How was February for you? Do you have any big changes or events coming up in the next few months?

You sound so excited and that’s lovely! I hope March goes well for you 🙂
I think you’ve made a great decision about your job. It is easy to get stuck in a rut and not do something you truly feel inspired by. I hope it works out well for you!
I have my marathon in, er, less than two months! ARGHH!!
Busy! Not that I would want it any other way : )
February flew by for me! Your hair looks gorgeous, I got mine cut earlier in the month and am definitely resolving to get trims more often! x
Great news for you! Hopefully March will be even better for you 🙂
Sounds like you have had a great month. I think you made the right decision about the job, it’s so important to do something you are passionate about rather than get stuck in the daily grind. Have a great March!
