Well my first Sunday off this year from work kicked off on Saturday night.
We decided to order in some pizzas. We had two pizza’s that were split in half so we ended up with four different toppings. It’s been so long since we ordered in and so long that I have had a “real” pizza as opposed to a socca pizza that this was great treat. I had some red wine and 6 slices of pizza later I also had the most delicious bar of cranberry and mandarin Om raw chocolate bar whilst we watched a movie- the perfect Saturday night in!
I’ve really been enjoying my workouts this week:
Monday: 30 minutes of cardio with strength intervals in between every 10 minutes of cardio.
Tuesday: 20 minutes of yoga from Yoga Download.com
Wednesday: REST
Thursday: 10 minutes on the cross trainer (warm up), lower body strength, 10 minutes on the bike (cool down).
Friday: 10 minutes on the cross trainer (warm up), upper body strength, 10 minutes on the bike (cool down).
Saturday: REST
Sunday: Walking and Hatha yoga flow.
It’s been another busy week at work with 3 8pm finishes. My dinners this week have mainly been speedy meat with vegetables on the side. I was even super organised to take my lunch and dinner with me to work so it meant that I wasn’t eating too late.
Harrissa roasted chicken with steamed spring greens and cauliflower rice made with coconut milk and red peppers.
Roasted sausages with steamed spring greens and broccoli.
Sweet potatoes have really featured heavily this week for breakfast, lunch and dinner:
This baked sweet potato with cottage cheese, frozen blueberries, cinnamon and local honeycomb made the most delicious breakfast. I was full until well into the afternoon after eating this.
Baked sweet potatoes make the best lunches for work. I had one earlier this week topped with cottage cheese, my new drippy almond butter and lettuce, yum!
Another fantastic lunch at work this week included a salad made using lettuce leaves, avocado, tinned sardines (my new love!), red peppers, avocado and sauerkraut. I’ve had this salad quite a few times this week and it hits the spot every time.
Breakfasts this week have also been super delicious:
Two chopped jazz apples topped with cottage cheese, organic honey, cinnamon and drippy almond butter.
These chocolate protein whipped oats were incredible! I made it using 1/4 cup of jumbo oats, 1/2 scoop of chocolate protein powder, 1 tsp of cocoa powder, 1 egg white, 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of almond milk and a handful of frozen blueberries. The oats were so creamy and delicious especially with the addition of more frozen blueberries on top and drippy almond butter.
Of course my week wouldn’t be complete with green smoothies and berry smoothies, love them!
The highlight of the week was definitely receiving my first ever Nutribox. It’s just full of lovely raw goodies. I’m going to enjoy eating my way through all of these!
How do you like to see in the weekend? Have you been up to anything fun this weekend?
Have you had a Nutribox before?

So jealous of the nutribox, looks awesome! I’m off work for a few days from today, my brother is coming to visit Dublin and it’s paddys day today and my birthday on tues so hopefully some fun days ahead!! Enjoy your day!
I hope you are enjoying your days off. 🙂
All of your eats this week look delicious! I must admit that I’m in the extreme minority of people that don’t like pizza! I want to like it, but I just can’t. It was always bad when I was young and at school they’d often have ‘pizza lunches’ to celebrate winning sports day or something, and I always had to miss out!
I WISH we have nutriboxes in Australia! How exciting to get a package full of delicious goodies! Maybe I’ll just have to buy some good food, box it up, and put it on my doorstep! Although that’s definitely a lot worse and a bit sad!
Thanks, I guess having bad experiences with some foods can effect you later in life. Hehehe! Love the idea of making your own Nutribox.
That pizza looks delicious! I do love pizza even if I don’t get to eat it all that often. All of your food looks tasty actually, the avocado salad particularly appeals 🙂
Your Nutribox looks great, I’d love to try one!
I’m having a great weekend, last night I went out clubbing with the girls I’ll be living with next year which was so much fun 🙂
How lovely to go out with your new housemates. I hope you had a great time bonding!
Where did you get drippy AB from?
I get mine from My Protein.Com its the best!!!!!
Yup, I get exactly the same one! 🙂
Thank you, lovely bloggers! 🙂
I’ve been sorting out my blog giving it a new look which i love!
The sweet pots look soooooo yummy!
Yeah sweet pots rule!
I’m always crazy about your foods, Jemma!!
And today there’s pizza staring at my face! I have to have it tonight! 😀
Thanks Greta, I hope you got your hands on some pizza!
Hmm I’m really craving pizza now. Our local pizza place does the best thin crust pizzas and they even do them up to 20″! we only order those when we have people round though haha.
Ha, that is a very large pizza!
Sweet potatoes are the BEST!! I used to bake small ones and slice in half, smother with nut butter and eat as snacks – soooo good!!
The Nutribox sounds and looks good. I’ll definitely be checking that out later.
Your post also reminded me, I haven’t had oats for a while, either :O . They are HeAvEn topped with nut butter and frozen berries!! Thanks 😀
I hadn’t had oats in a while so it was nice to have them again. You are right nut butter on oats is a classic.
Yes! So pleased another person has apples and nut butter for breakfast :). I’m so obsessed with the combo. 🙂
It is the perfect combo!
