Yoga is definitely a great way to start the day.  I’ve just finished a 20 minute session of my own free style yoga and I feel better for it.  In fact that’s probably the most movement that I’ve done all weekend.  Alfie’s away visiting friends so I have been very much doing my own thing and I’ having a sofa and sweats kind of weekend.

It felt like my weekend started on Friday as we had an extended work lunch for a colleague’s leaving do. I had the pan fried sea bream with hand cut chips.

This really was fantastic!

The bosses at work also bought us cupcakes from a very posh patisserie:

I do love my job and the people I work with and the cakes of course!

Yesterday for breakfast I made some scrambled eggs with spinach, cherry tomatoes and grated cheese. I used 3 whole eggs so this was very filling and kept me full for hours.

I just adore fish so it featured in this fantastic salad: peppered smoked mackerel, peppers, cucumber and mixed leaves, yummy!

We had some heavy rain yesterday afternoon so I decided to get my bake on and bake some protein brownies…

These do taste as good as they look!  I know as I had to do the obligatory taste test with a mug of peppermint tea. OMG! Fudgy, chocolaty and nutty goodness all in one brownie, recipe to come.

I’ve also been snacking on lots of juicy blackberries…love them!

For dinner last night made my Sweet Potato and Chickpea Curry, which can be found on my newly updated recipe page.  I’ve been doing a few updates on the blog in line with some reader suggestions including printable recipes and I’ve also created a recipe board on my Pinterest too.

Baking yesterday was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon for me.  The sun is shining at the moment so hopefully I will get to read on the garden later.

How do you like to spend a rainy afternoon?

Have you baked anything super delicious recently?
