Happy Sunday!  I’ve got my fingers crossed for another beautiful sunny day for this extended weekend in the UK.  Yesterday was just glorious and it finally felt like spring had returned after the cold spell we’ve had, love it!

I’m so in love with my new girly ballet pumps.  They’re a pale pink with a giant bow on the front.  I was so happy when the sun was shining during the week so that I could wear them out.  Since my thighs and hips tend to ache a lot these days I thought it would be a great idea to stock up on some pretty flats…it was love at first sight with these pair.

This week I got my butt to the gym 3 times, which I’m really happy about:

Monday – REST

Tuesday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)

Wednesday – Cleaning the house is now a form of exercise for me!

Thursday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)

Friday – REST

Saturday –  morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)

Sunday – Prenatal yoga session

My workout routine is so random at the moment and is heavily dependent on how I feel on the day and how much energy I have spare.  This week has been pretty good on the energy front and I’m feeling great!  Maybe that pregnancy glow has finally made it’s appearance known.

I’ve been loving my food this week and seem to be in a happy place with it at the moment:

Curry night! Lamb balti with cauliflower rice and steamed broccoli

Gorgeous breakfast apple & blackberry porridge made with water topped with PB and chocolate sauce

So addicted to these pretzel M&M’s…yum!

I’ve officially made it to the halfway point at 20 weeks!

20 weeks

My bump has definitely popped out some more this week.  I can feel that the baby is getting stronger this week too as their bones have started to calcify.  Our little lentil is such a wriggler and move around so much.  We have been listening to the heart beat and movements all week with Alfie’s stethoscope which has been great.

We had our 20 week scan yesterday, which was very exciting and emotional.  Our little one was feeling a little shy yesterday compared to the first scan.  All we could see initially was the baby’s back as they were in the sitting position.  However, our amazing sonographer worked her wonders and was able to find out the baby’s sex.  I went straight out to the shops to buy some gender specific clothes for the little one.

At this point in time we just want to enjoy this special moment before announcing it on the blog, I hope that you understand.  But, I will say that we are very happy with the outcome and feel incredibly blessed to be on this amazing journey of love, hope and happiness.

Are you all for ballet pumps or is it heels all the way?

Do you have any special plans for long bank holiday weekend? What is the best thing that you have eaten this week?
