My favourite flowers are back in season, love peonies!

Life is pretty manic at the moment as we try to fit as much sight-seeing and family days out in Dorset and sorting things out around the house before we move next month.  There was also a wedding, and two separate visits from our family in June too. Also, the sad Referendum results that I was very emotional about, especially when I think of all the uncertainty and the opportunities that my little boy may miss out on.  On top of that my allergies have gone crazy this week, pollen is not my friend!  Needless to say, it’s left me feeling a little frazzled and I probably haven’t been looking after myself as well as I should.  I know once things have settled down again things will slot back into place.

WHAT I GOT UP TO IN JUNE

The month started with a wonderful break in Ireland!  It was our first time there and stayed in Dublin before heading down to Tinakilly for a wedding and back up to Dublin again before heading home. The weather was just perfect, and it didn’t feel like we were in Ireland at all, more like the Mediterranean.  Seeing our friends get married was very special and our little man played his dutiful role as one of the page boys very well.

Other than the wedding, one of my favourite parts of the trip was Dublin Zoo.  The way the zoo is set up is beautiful and of course, they have a brilliant array of animals too.  Look how gorgeous these giraffes are – London Zoo doesn’t even come close!

When the sun has shone we’ve made the most of the beach, especially when we’ve had family come to visit. These two are just plenty adorable and they had a great day celebrating Father’s Day that was also last month.

In other news, my recipes and photography have been published in this month’s summer edition of Superfood. These Dark Chocolate and Blackberry Tarts are so good!

FAVOURITE PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH

June products

1. Pana Chocolate//2. Ren No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm//Delicious Alchemy Wonderfully Nutty Granola

I’ve tried some great new products this month, including the very delicious raw chocolate by Pana Chocolate that I was kindly sent – so far, the vanilla and cherry one is my favourite.  Also, I’ve added a few new things to my skin care routine like this cleanser from Ren, after just 1 week of using it I’m in love. Granola is my summer staple breakfast with Greek yoghurt and berries and this new one from Delicious Alchemy is super tasty!

I don’t really have any goals for July if I’m honest, just to enjoy the time we have left in Dorset and move house.  I have a couple of personal things that I want to accomplish next month, but I’m planning on sharing all of that in a blog post soon.  Hopefully the sunshine returns to the UK again soon so that summer can resume.  I’m currently sitting in my blanket scarf and cardigan!

HOW WAS JUNE FOR YOU?  WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT JULY?
