Can someone please explain where the month has gone? It feels like time is just racing by at the moment.
June was a fantastic month for me, nothing particularly special happened but everything just feels great in my life right now. Everything feels settled and secure and I’ve been reveling in that feeling this past month.
This month I went on a mini shopping trip…

I also got in to juicing in a big way…

So much goodness in one glass!
Treated myself to lots of goodies from M&S for lunches at work…

I’m so excited that it’s all over! =)

Also on the blog last month…
I shared my tips on how to eat healthy on a budget
My results in the gym and how it has gives me motivation to workout
My thoughts on sugar and fruit raised some very interesting comments
I pretty much achieved nearly achieved all of my goals for last month, however I failed at tidying up my wardrobe…there’s always this month. =)
Goals for July
- Enjoy celebrating my PhD graduation
- Have fun at my sister-in-laws birthday party
- Tidy my wardrobe
- Continue to eat well and consciously
- Change up my strength routine
- Spend some time with my besties
- Vlog…it’s been far too long!
I’m over the moon that I passed my PhD and I get to graduate later this month. It’s going to be such an epic celebration and I cannot wait. That journey has come to an end an despite how hard it was I ‘m so glad that I made it to the end. I now have a job that I love and I feel like a better person after having done it as I learnt a lot about myself and my work ethics.
With my eating I feel like I am in a much better place after a few months of not doing right by my body and not making the best choices and sugar was an issue. There was a point where I was having chocolate far too often in the evening. Even though there is nothing necessarily wrong with this I was going to bed on a heavy stomach and still waking up full.
I think the warmer weather has really helped with getting my balance back as I have naturally been craving veggies and fruit more so than usual. Juicing has also enabled me to reset by body and my taste buds. It’s amazing how sweet natural sugar can be and it’s been a while since I’ve added sweeteners to my green smoothies.
I’ve also got in a better routine with work, whereby I prepare meals at the weekend and have started to have breakfast at work, so there are better eating patterns in place. Even though I still eat late sometimes it’s not as frequent as before and I’m being more conscious and listening to my body to see if it really needs a larger portion of food or even dessert. It’s definitely a work in progress.
What was great about June for you? What are you looking forward to in July?

June has been an utter disaster for me health, exercise, diet and blog-wise! But the chaos is nearly over, and I’m starting with a clean slate today…easing myself back in gently so to speak! I’m glad June was good for you – enjoy your graduation, the robes are just lovely! 😉
You will be fine and back on track in no time. The robes are hideous lol 🙂
Looks like a great month! Health wise this month has not been the best for me, I’ve been unwell for the entire month hoping for some improvement in July! I did have a nice holiday and went to Wimbledon though so not all bad! Have a great July!
I’m so jealous that you got to go to Wimbledon, such a great experience!
Yum! I got into juicing, too 🙂 It’s so deliciously awesome!
So true, I love it!
Gosh I feel lost jut reading the title of your thesis haha. Definitely celebrate well, you deserve it after all the hard work :))
Ha I was often lost studying it 🙂
I can’t believe July is here either- crazy!
Well done on your thesis- what a fantastic achievement- it needs a lot of celebrating.
Congratulations on finishing the dissertation and glad you’ve got some graduation celebrations coming up 🙂 So glad you have found a job you love too – it’s a difficult feat for many! Just read your post about sugar again – I too have fallen into the trap of eating too much (processed) sugar and find that my body is craving chocolate everyday… something I’m hoping to tackle in July… though most likely after my holiday 😉
