July, July, July what a wonderful month you have been to me. It has been a month of lots of hard work and productivity but lots of celebrations and fun stuff too, no complaints from me!
Ultimately July was epic because it was and end of an era and saw me cross the PhD finish line…

I attended my graduation a few weeks ago and thought of it still makes me smile.

We went out for a celebratory meal. I went all out with no cares I the world. Geez that food was yummy!
We were also blessed with a beautiful view for our dinner table on the balcony.
Lots of family get togethers have taken place this month, including a BBQ to celebrate my sister-in-laws 21st.

I also made a start of updating my wardrobe with my honeymoon coming up later in the year. To be honest I don’t really need much, just a few bit to freshen up my wardrobe. I will be doing a full round up post of my finds at a later date.
This month I finally got round to updating my recipe page on the blog and giving it a new look.

I’ve also created a recipe board on my Pinterest.
Experimenting in the kitchen this month has produced a fabulous Strawberry and Mint Juice, perfect for this humid weather.
I’ve been enjoying lots of my frozen cheesecake, even for breakfast!

I might make my Spelt Flour Pancakes again for breakfast this weekend.

And I can’t stop raving about these Triple Chocolate Protein Brownies. I’m in love with them!

Additionally, I launched my One Step Closer to Healthy series on the blog with a more nutrition led focus. You can read the first post here if you missed it!
For those fellow commuters out there, I also posted my tips that help me stay healthy whilst commuting to work by making a few changes to my normal routine.
Ahhh…I just never found the time to vlog this month, so I’m going to try and make it a priority for August. I don’t really have many goals for August, just a few things that I would like to achieve.
-
Enjoy my break in Denmark
-
Continue to pursue balanced approach to health and fitness
-
Sort out my wardrobe and have a clear out
-
Meet up with my girlies
-

Meet you fabulous bloggers at the UK blogger meet up. Please drop me an email for details!
Fingers crossed that August is even better than July- it’s looking good so far!
How was July for you? Do you have any goals for August?

I loved July- the weather was amazing, I hope it returns for August! When is the UK blogger meet up as I will be home in Cardiff for a few days in August so I might be able to make it.
Hey hun, it’s on the 24th August all being well. Hope you can make it!
I think I must be about the only person who didn’t like the weather in July! It would be nice if it could cool down just a tad for August – I’d like to go outside without sweating just once. Then again, I’m the one running around in a t-shirt in December, so I guess I can’t expect the rest of the country to have my wonky internal thermostat.
Love all the great things that have happened for you in July, particularly your graduation. I hope August is every bit as positive a month and you enjoy your holiday 🙂
Hehehe! I have been enjoying the cooler temperatures over the past few days, but I’m happy that the sun is back again. I know what you mean though the heat can be unbearable at the best of times.
Thanks Jess. It was an incredible month, definitely one to remember! Hope August is good to you. x
Sounds like you’ve had an incredible month! Congratulations again on your PhD. Love the new blog additions!
Thanks Christina. I hope you have a fab August!
Have a lovely time in Denmark- the weather in the summer there is just gorgeous.
It looks lovely really. I cannot wait!
Congrats on grad! That is a serious accomplishment right there. You officially started my august off on the best note with those brownies. Going to make them asap!
Thanks hun! I hope you enjoy the brownies 🙂
