I cannot believe that we have reached the end of August already! This summer has gone by so fast, I’m hoping that we can squeeze in a few more sunny days before autumn well and truly hits us.  Although summer whizzing by like it has isn’t a bad thing for me as it means that I am that little bit closer to going on my honeymoon…yay!

It has been such a marvellous month full of amazing things starting with a fantastic back to school sports day at work:

I thought my days participating in sports days were long gone, such a fun day!

I was honored to find out that C&C has been featured on the Sainsbury’s website:

Seriously I never expected my little blog to reach some the heights it has over the years, so blessed!

On Sunday last week we had a big family BBQ in the beautiful late summer sunshine:

Good food, Pimms, family and lots and lots of laughter!

This month I fell in love with hot yoga:

As a result I’ve been chugging on lots of delicious coconut water.

I went out for cocktails and had a stupendously fantastic time visiting my girlfriend and celebrating my besties new baby:

I’ve felt so inspired lately and have been pushing the boundaries where my cooking is concerned.  I whipped up a Healthy Greek Moussaka, Seared Tuna Salad with a honey and mustard dressing.

There are also 3 other recipes from this month that I haven’t even shared with you yet.

Sneak preview of my Apple and Blueberry Frangipane Tart, fantastic!

The ended with the most amazing Indian wedding on yesterday, more on that during the week.  Unfortunately I didn’t have time to get my hands on a sari, but I had a couple of dresses that fit the bill.

Ah, autumn is here!  How I love thee!  My love of autumn mainly stems from the abundance of kabocha squash (squeal!), the beautiful burished colours on the trees, that cosy feeling, toasty evenings in front of the fire.  I’m already stocked up with vanilla chai and salted caramel candles ready to light on a cosy autumnal evening.  They smell good enough to eat!

Goals for September

  • Get all of the official stuff organised for out honeymoon- 8 weeks to go!
  • Make an effort to sort out my sugar cravings
  • Go to hot yoga at least twice a month
  • Blog all of my new recipes
  • Stuff myself with lots of beautiful autumnal produce
  • Pamper myself more

What are you most looking forward to in September?  What made August stand out for you?
