I love Sunday mornings. Cooking in my oven right now is a delicious leg of lamb, the house smells divine. Also, the sun is shining and it looks like a beautiful day outside, life is good.
Last night was just as lovely as this morning. We decided to stay in a watch a movie with my mix of sweet, toffee and salted popcorn and candle light. I’m adoring my autumn scented Yankee candles right now. It was time to whip open the vanilla chai scent, as much as I love the salted caramel ones it was time to try something new.
For dinner last night we had some left over chilli. I made a chilli bowl, with roasted butternut squash topped with goat’s cheese, avocado and a hard boiled eggs. This was seriously good and the perfect Saturday night food to precede our movie and popcorn.
Before popping out to do the weekly shop yesterday I made a lovely bowl of Chocolate and Ginger Oats topped with goji berries and peanut butter. This was tremendously good! Fear not, the recipe for this little bowl of chocolate and oaty heaven will be coming up later next week, hopefully.
My afternoon snack was delicious as it looks. Cottage cheese, fresh figs (so pretty!), walnuts and maple syrup. Boy, this went down a treat. My belly was very happy with this. I think that this is one of my favourite food combinations.
The afternoon was spent reading some of my favourite blogs on my new toy complete with some chai tea. I am a bit of a gadget freak and I love technology. I have to say that the iPad mini is one of those genius creations, it’s going to be great on my morning commute and on my honeymoon.
Now this was a taste sensation:
Raw chocolate with lime by IQ. I have been sent a selection of these to review and I tried the lime flavoured bar on Friday night. In the past I’ve tried Montezuma’s sea dog flavour that has lime in it and loved it, but I felt that the lime flavour is quite subtle in comparison to this particular bar. This really hit the spot, so yummy!
Well, I’m going to head back to my relaxing weekend. I hope you are all having a good one!
Are you a gadget freak or a technophobe?
Do you enjoy unusual chocolate flavours? Which ones are your favourites?

Not really a gadget freak but am addicted to anything apple! I have to say I love all chocolate not really too fussy there!
Haha! I’m the same, all chocolate is good! 🙂
I might have to give those raw lime chocs a go – I had never had raw chocolate until last week when I went to better food company and purchased a bag of raw chocolate raisins and was surprised by their deliciousness!
x
Raw choc raisins sound so good!
I do love gadgets, although it takes me a long time to get around to buying them. After thinking I would never need a tablet in my life, thanks to a good smart phone, I now find myself researching different tablets and prices. I think blogging has made me more gadget and techie aware.
Oh I think blogging has had the same effect on me, especially in the smart phone sad tablet department.
I love gadgets my hubby has me hooked! Do you read gizmodo.com you are sure to love the website! Lots of love C
No I don’t. I will have to check it out, thanks! 🙂
My mum has an iPad mini which I am very envious of! The lime chocolate sounds really interesting, I’ve never thought of it as a good flavour combination before but definitely one I’d be more than happy to try out! x
It’s really yummy, I think that you would really enjoy it!
I love my gadgets. I couldn’t live without my iPhone or iPad. I’d love a mini iPad but I can’t justify buying one yet.
Love your movie snacks!
I love my Iphone gadgets too! The mini is fab and very portable for travelling.
I wish I was as tech-savvy as you. I’m not a technophobe per se…I’m just too stupid to understand things and too stubborn to read an instruction manual. I don’t have an iPhone or iPad, though I wish I did – I still have my Nokia phone from the 90s! I don’t really go for gadgets, but I do wish I had the knowledge to redesign my blog, for example. I’m always so envious of those who can create beautiful designs for their blogs, but let’s face it – I don’t have the first idea how to go about it, I don’t have the software (?) required and I can’t even manage to align pictures correctly half the time, let alone a lovely header and fancy sidebar.
I’m boring when it comes to chocolate – I don’t like fancy flavours at all! Even chocolate orange is a bit much for me these days, though I used to like the choc orange Nakd bars as I recall. Give me a good hunk of plain, dark chocolate any day!
xxx
We’ll they definitely don’t make phones like those old Nokias anymore. I used to drop mine all of the time and it would never die, loved it! 🙂
I do like the montezuma’s one with lime- I keep saying they need to do one with tea, especially earl grey tea as I have had that a few times and it is lovely.
Oooh Earl Grey chocolate would be so fragrant, lovely!
That lime chocolate sounds yummy, and your oats look delicious!
