Well, it’s been such a long time since I’ve written one of these Fashion Friday posts.  Now that we are approaching a new season I’m hoping to post them more regularly going forwards, perhaps every other week.

Autumn is just around the corner and all the new season stock is filtering into the shops at the moment.  I can’t decide whether I prefer autumn fashion or summer fashion the most, but I love cosying up in a huge knitted jumper by the fire with some hot chocolate.  One of my favourite things about autumn fashion is the jewel-like colours of red wine, olive-green, mustard and navy.  There is also the quirky side of autumn fashion and that seems to be focused on woodland creatures such as squirrels, owls and foxes.

I’ve searched the internet to discover some quirky fox inspired fashion for the autumn.  Here are some of my favourite foxy finds:

 foxy woodland fashion

1. Fabio fox coin purse, Accessorize

2. Blue fox print long sleeve dress by Yumi via Debenhams

3. Fox print jumper, Mad on Fashion

4. Louche Katia fox dress, JOY

5. Proud fox bucket tote, Anorak

6. Katy fox print frill sleeve woven top, Bohoo.com

7. Yumi fox jumper, House of Fraser

8. Foxy femme flats, Angel Clothing

9. Spring fox zippered pouch, Etsy

10. 50’s style mint green fox print skirt, My Vintage

How cute is that fox purse from Accessorize?  I think this look is wonderful and can inject so much fun into an outfit.  My personal favourite is the fox jumper from Yumi, simple but still has that quirky edge with the fox curled around the neck.

After having my little one I’ve got a big shopping trip planned and I’ll be stocking up on new knitwear, dresses, trousers, scarves and boots to get me all ready for the autumn and winter chill.  I’ve looked at some of the things on offer at the moment and picked out a few things that have caught my eye:

1. Cable knit jumper, H&M

2. Cactus print cigarette trousers, Topshop

3. Burgundy pointed ankle boots, Dorothy Perkins

4. Crew neck cardigan, New Look

OK, so I love those printed trousers and I think the colour is fantastic, but I’m not sure if I can pull them off.  We will have to see about that one!

Do you prefer summer or autumn fashion?   What pieces are on your wish list for this autumn?
