Dark Chocolate Superfood Buttons Title

Hands up if you’re a chocolate junkie?! Yep, me too, but don’t be ashamed because I’m not.  Indulging in a little bit of what you fancy is actually a healthy approach to wellness as opposed to restricting certain foods which tends to be the main focus at this time of year.

I’m really not into the whole faddy diet thing and prefer to enjoy wholesome foods that nourish my body from the inside and help me to feel great.  Chocolate is one of these foods and although I don’t eat it everyday I know that as part of a balanced lifestyle, it’s not going to do me any harm at all.

This is such a great way to pimp up that bar of dark chocolate that is sitting in your cupboard right now! I would use good quality dark chocolate to make these to get the added bonus from all those beautiful antioxidants.  Like always, I always like to add a nutritional boost to my meals including my treats.  It’s nice to know that I’m getting all that goodness from this mixture of superfoods from one of my favourite foods.

You can really go to town with these in terms of what you adorn your dark chocolate buttons with.  If I had made my chocolate buttons bigger, I did fancy adding dried blueberries and sesame seeds too – definitely one to try next time!  Good to know that they also store well in an air-tight container ready and waiting for when you need your next chocolate fix.

What are your favourite superfoods? How strong do you like your dark chocolate?
