Happy Friday! Also, happy Christmas jumper day for all of you in the UK! We had our Christmas jumper day on Wednesday at work because it’s our Christmas party today so everyone is glammed up in their black tie attire.
Here’s my Christmas jumper that I bought from Primark a few weeks back. I thought if you’re going to wear a Christmas jumper then you might as well go the whole way. I just love the snowman’s knitted carrot nose and the way his scarf comes away from the jumper to give the impression that it’s flapping in the wind.
Surprisingly, there has been no oats for breakfast this week. Instead I’ve been all about yoghurt messes and green smoothies as they are much quicker to make and eat when I have to dash out the door. There has been plenty of mornings where I have burned the inside of my mouth because I didn’t have enough time to let my oats cool down and eat them slowly.
Other than my green smoothies I’ve been making lots of basic banana and nut butter smoothies too:
I had this on in my car and it consisted of a banana, peanut butter, butterscotch protein powder water and coconut milk. Quite a mixture of different flavours but is so worked! The coconut milk is by Rice Dream and I’m really surprised by the great quality, really lovely.
I’ve also been loving Greek yoghurt topped with two chopped pink lady apples and chopped hazelnuts too, yum.
My favourite lunch this week has to be this salad:
I purchased a salad bowl from Sainsbury’s and also picked up some turkey to go with it. Normally I buy my salads from Marks and Spencers as they never fail to impress, but this salad from Sainsbury’s was really good too. I adore adding dried fruit in salads.

Another highlight this week was this dinner. I had some of my Festive Sprout Salad topped with roast chicken and lots of Sabra hummus. Ooohhh this was amazing! It was full of my favourite foods and very little went into making it as it was all made from leftovers that I had cooked at the weekend. Obviously I can’t take credit for the hummus, but it was a lovely addition. You have got to LOVE leftovers.
Unfortunately my favourite polka dot bowl has a chip in it – the perfect excuse to buy a new one!
I’m going to be proudly wearing my Christmas jumper on the big day. I made sure to get it in one size larger so that it’s extra snuggly and cosy, perfect for the freezing cold weather. Do you own a Christmas jumper? What has it got on it? I saw a great one yesterday with a Christmas tree on the front and actual flashing lights. 🙂
What are your favourite leftover foods to keep you going throughout the week?
