Friday night was so cosy and warm. It was one of those days where it just rained all day and a quiet night in was perfect.  I had my new slippers, hot water bottle and a mug of hot chocolate made with coconut water at the ready for my movie night.  The coconut water hot chocolate is wonderful and a much healthier version to regular hot chocolate.

I’ve been making a conscious effort to get back on the healthy eating bandwagon again after new years.  There has been plenty of green smoothie action:

I love how this green smoothie overflowed into my beaker.  It consisted of spinach, banana, apple, coconut water, almond milk and butterscotch protein powder, seriously yum!  Toppings included coconut, macadamia nuts and dried blueberries.

Yesterday I thought I would give my pajamas a rest and wear one of my lovely sale dresses:

Excuse the fur on my slippers!  I picked this up in the House of Fraser sale.  It’s a really lovely shape and covered in small polka dots.  Another sale purchase is the statement necklace that I wore with the dress from Urban Outfitters.  All of my sale purchases are coming up in a blog post this week, so look out for that.

Whilst out in town running some errands I stopped by Itsu for lunch – it turned into quite a banquet.  I picked the salmon sushi platter with an edamame go-go pots with a pot of sencha green tea, heaven.

Last night for dinner I made an epic stir fry full of my favourite things: lots of veggies, meat (beef) and soba noodles.  The flavours in this were fab, a mix of honey, soy sauce, chilli, fresh ginger and garlic.  Sometimes the simple things in life are the best.

Well I better get ready for my spinning class later, my first of 2014  I’ve got a funny feeling that it’s going to involve a lot of pain..ouch!

What have you been up to this weekend?  How did you find your first workout of 2014 after the festive break?
