What a gorgeous month it has been! I’ve loved getting outdoors and walking through the colours of autumn. It really is one of the best times of the year; one of my favourites. The sunny and crisp days are great for getting out and exploring and we’ve made the most of it.
October has been a super month for many reasons and I’m a bit sad that it’s over really. Although busy, I think I made sure that there was a nice balance of work and fun with meet ups with friends, family birthday celebrations and a bit of treating myself too. Peppa Pig Live even made for a great day out when I took the little man to see the show for a birthday treat. So, it wasn’t a bad month really – well, nothing to complain about anyway!
What I Got Up To Last Month
The end of September was full of planning and party preparations for one special little boys 2nd birthday party at the start of the month. I can’t believe that I’m now a mama to a two-year-old. These have been two challenging, but beautiful years and I love watching Aiden grow. We threw him a Peppa Pig party because for some reason he’s obsessed with it and it was awesome to see all of family and friends come to celebrate with us. As previously mentioned, I treated him to see Peppa Pig Live, much to my dismay it was actually really good.
Not only was it Aiden’s birthday, it was also my husbands too. I was giving out all the presents so thought I would treat myself to something too. Buying myself flowers is a simple way to show myself some gratitude and I like how they brighten up my living room. This bouquet of sunflowers caught my eye and how adorable are those baby cabbage flowers?
My kitchen is my happy place and it blows my mind that I get to spend so much time it creating wholesome and nourishing recipes for clients and to share with you all. I’m one lucky lady! This month has been a particularly great month in the kitchen creating some new recipes and developing my e-book, which my email subscribers will be finding out more about today if you haven’t already.
We only really started getting into Halloween last year, it’s funny the effect having kids can have on you. Last year we carved out first pumpkins and to keep up the tradition we headed to our local pick your own farm which we’ve never done before. It was a little disappointing because all the good pumpkins had gone, but Aiden had fun stomping around the fields. Luckily they had some for sale in the farm shop so we didn’t leave empty-handed. I got us one each, our family in pumpkin form including a little baby sized one for Aiden.
This beautiful selection of cold pressed rapeseed oil made it to my door the other day and a fabulous hamper of Italian treats from Ciao Gusto that I shared on my Insta Stories. I’m working with some exciting brands at the moment and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been up to. There are lots of fantastic recipes and content in the pipeline so keep your eyes peeled.
