I think I may have come up with the best spiced nut recipe!  It’s both healthy, refined sugar-free, fat-free and packed full of delicious warming spices, perfect for this time of year.

Spiced Mixed Nuts Title

These are so easy to make that I’m not sure you could even call it a recipe, but they taste really good so I thought that I would share them with you all.  With only 5 ingredients and such a simple cooking method, they’re perfect to have on hand for impromptu guests or to go with a cheeky glass of mulled wine.  I thought that these would also be a fantastic addition to a cheese board alongside some chopped apples and grapes.

Dipping your hand in this bowl of mixed nuts is a bit like a pick ‘n’ mix, depending on what you end up with the spices taste different on each type of nut.  It does make them a bit more interesting than a store-bought packet of nuts that’s for sure!

What I love about these is not only are they brimming with the flavours associated of this time of year, but they are perfect for almost any speciality diet (with the exception of nut allergies of course!).  You can use any nut really, this mixed nut pack didn’t contain any pistachios or pecan nuts, which are my personal favourites, so you can really tailor it to your own taste.

What is your favourite type of nut?  What kind of snacks do you like to have on hand for those impromptu guests?
