….I’m pretty sure that there’s a song in there somewhere with that blog title, please correct me if I’m wrong.
Happy Sunday lovely people! Hope that you are all enjoying your weekends. I’m having a good one so far, my bump was on show for a lot of yesterday at our maternity photo shoot. Some of the pictures should be ready soon so I cannot wait to see how they turned out. I’m pretty much spending the rest of the weekend relaxing and putting the bambino’s pram together. It’s all becoming so real now.
Even though the weather has been slightly better this week there has still been a chill in the air. I’m not ready to let go of summer just yet so I’ve eaten lots of bowls like this for breakfast. This was organic natural yoghurt, strawberries, nectarines, blueberries, cashews and honey. Such a simple bowl of goodness right there!

An oldie but a goodie came in the form of this tasty breakfast. I love peanut butter and banana together, enter my Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins, yum! Toasted organic sourdough bread topped with peanut butter, chopped banana, Greek honey and cinnamon.

I’ve tried to get a lot of nutrient dense protein into my lunches this week and eggs have been great for that. Lots of cheese and spring onion omelettes with salad have been consumed around here. Omelettes are probably one of my favourite ways to eat eggs or in crustless quiches because they are so versatile and easy to cook.

Green smoothies are more of an afternoon snack for me at the moment rather than for breakfast. To be honest, I’m not sure why, I think I’m enjoying my porridge oats and yoghurt bowls more as a way to start my day. This one was spinach, banana, ice, coconut oil and almond milk.
My favourite dinner this week has to be my Moroccan Lamb Tagine with broccoli and new potatoes. I just love the flavours in a lamb tagine and it’s so comforting on colder evenings. One thing that I am looking forward to in the autumn is all the stews and casseroles that I will be eating.
Holy yum! I picked this chocolate bar up yesterday and it’s one of my favourite Lindt bars, to be fair I have a few. Another one of my favourites is their super rich 90% dark chocolate, which is up for grabs in my current blogiversary giveaway! This was the perfect Saturday night treat and just what I needed.
This week’s workout round-up:
Monday – REST
Tuesday – REST
Wednesday – morning gym session (20 minutes of gentle cardio and strength routine – bicep curls, shoulder presses, chest presses, squats against the wall and weighted bum raises)
Thursday – 30 minute walk
Friday – REST
Saturday – REST
Sunday – Prenatal yoga session
Exercise has taken a bit of a back seat for me this week. At the beginning of the week I had lots of aches and pains in my hips and after asking my midwife about this at my appointment during the week, she thinks it’s just my tendons stretching and making more room for baby. Consequently, I thought it was best to take it easy and just rest. I keep forgetting that I’m 37 weeks pregnant and about to have a baby, each week is different as my body changes. Thankfully, the aches have subsided and I’m looking forward to doing some yoga later today.
I’m so looking forward to putting the travel system together later today with Alfie. Earlier in the week I battled with the car seat and the Isofix base, which I happily won and put the bedding on his organic Moses basket. It really is just a waiting game now. 🙂
If you eat eggs, how do you prefer to eat your them?
How have you been spending your weekend?

I love eggs wether they are fried, scrambled, poached, boiled and so on, I especially love omelettes at the minute, though having an omelette maker helps 😉 x
I bet that makes it so easy to make omelettes. 🙂
I love eggs any kind of way except cold! Cold eggs make me feel sick!!
I don’t mind them cold on a salad.
Oooh, all your food photos look so pretty and inspiring! Especially all of the fruit. I really need to try banana/peanut butter toast. Trying to sell my picky eater fiance on a healthier diet, trying anything! Haha
I love eggs! Such a great source of protein! I love eggs boiled, fried, but most of all as omlettes, or using them to make wholegrain egg fried rice! Chorizo egg fried rice is so nice.
Nin xx
I love making my own fried rice too. It’s so easy to make at home…who needs a take away?
All of these look so so yummy!!!
Thank you Alyssa. 🙂
I like mine poached with a very runny yolk for breakfast. All of your food looks really good.
Lovley! 🙂
I just love food period ha, but that dark chocolate looked amazing!
Hahaha! Same here. 🙂
I’ve been eating so many (fried) eggs on my trip home here in Newfoundland. My Dad makes them the best, but it’s probably because it’s cooked in the bacon grease lol :/
Hahha! I think the bacon grease would add a lovely flavour, yum!
I love eggs! I love them scrambled with tons of cheese and veggies, over easy, hard boiled, or fried. I tend to stay away from too many eggs due to the cholesterol, but I do love them. All your pictures of your meals look so amazing!!
Thank you Avie!
I love eggs scrambled or in an omelet.
Same here, nice and simple. 🙂
You’re almost there, that’s so exciting!!!! All of your food photos look so appealing~ :9 I love eggs soft-scrambled – my bit of decadence is to add some truffle salt. YUM. Totally addicted to the combo of eggs and truffle.

Hehe! The chocolate is fab!
I do love a good cheese and mushroom omelette. After seeing your omelette and salad above that’s what I’m going to go for for lunch today!
I love eggs (as I mentioned in my post the other day haha). Love scrambling them with loads of veg or fried…I think I least prefer them poached and hard boiled. But generally eggs are a fab choice for me!
Sorry to hear you’re aching a bit – but at least it’s for a great cause! How exciting 🙂
