When moving into a new home I think one of the best things about getting settled in, other than unpacking all of those boxes, is putting your own stamp on your new place.  Getting your own furniture in place and seeing how you can inject some personality into your new home is so much fun.  You can get really creative with some very simple accessories to bring a room together and make it look more homely.

The walls in my home are all painted white and I do love neutral tones.  To inject some life into the rooms, I like to add a ‘pop’ of bright colour here and there to create more of a homely space. One of my favourite ways to do this is by investing in some brightly coloured and abstract accessories.  Here are some of my favourite brightly coloured pieces from Habitat:

The folding side table is great if you are tight on space like we are at the moment and perfect if you’re having guests around for tea.  Also, brightly coloured photo frames add an instant splash of colour to your room, but also allow you to display and share your most cherished family photographs.  I’m a bit in love with that owl cushion too, quirky cushions are a sure way to express your own personality in your home.
