Happy Sunday! I’ve got my fingers crossed for another beautiful sunny day for this extended weekend in the UK. Yesterday was just glorious and it finally felt like spring had returned after the cold spell we’ve had, love it!
I’m so in love with my new girly ballet pumps. They’re a pale pink with a giant bow on the front. I was so happy when the sun was shining during the week so that I could wear them out. Since my thighs and hips tend to ache a lot these days I thought it would be a great idea to stock up on some pretty flats…it was love at first sight with these pair.
This week I got my butt to the gym 3 times, which I’m really happy about:
Monday – REST
Tuesday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)
Wednesday – Cleaning the house is now a form of exercise for me!
Thursday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)
Friday – REST
Saturday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)
Sunday – Prenatal yoga session
My workout routine is so random at the moment and is heavily dependent on how I feel on the day and how much energy I have spare. This week has been pretty good on the energy front and I’m feeling great! Maybe that pregnancy glow has finally made it’s appearance known.
I’ve been loving my food this week and seem to be in a happy place with it at the moment:
Curry night! Lamb balti with cauliflower rice and steamed broccoli
Gorgeous breakfast apple & blackberry porridge made with water topped with PB and chocolate sauce
So addicted to these pretzel M&M’s…yum!

Baked salmon with sweet chilli Philadelphia and pan fried veggies

Wholemeal toast with smooth peanut butter and fresh strawberries

Raw veggies and plain hummus
Grass fed beef burgers with sweet potato wedges and salad
Buttered wholemeal bread with dried fruit, salad and plain hummus
I’ve officially made it to the halfway point at 20 weeks!

My bump has definitely popped out some more this week. I can feel that the baby is getting stronger this week too as their bones have started to calcify. Our little lentil is such a wriggler and move around so much. We have been listening to the heart beat and movements all week with Alfie’s stethoscope which has been great.
We had our 20 week scan yesterday, which was very exciting and emotional. Our little one was feeling a little shy yesterday compared to the first scan. All we could see initially was the baby’s back as they were in the sitting position. However, our amazing sonographer worked her wonders and was able to find out the baby’s sex. I went straight out to the shops to buy some gender specific clothes for the little one.
At this point in time we just want to enjoy this special moment before announcing it on the blog, I hope that you understand. But, I will say that we are very happy with the outcome and feel incredibly blessed to be on this amazing journey of love, hope and happiness.
Are you all for ballet pumps or is it heels all the way?
Do you have any special plans for long bank holiday weekend? What is the best thing that you have eaten this week?

pretty shoes! I don’t think shoes in pale colours would work for me – they wouldn’t stay that colour for long! These days I live in DMs and wellies 😉
Very practical. I have been only picking sunny days to wear these ones out. 🙂
Popping over from fbland! I am impressed at your week, makes me feel inspired to get on with this week’s plans rather than doing who knows what!!
Thank you for visiting Suzanne!
Yum, all your look so good! Love the pumps – and you look amazing with your bump!
That’s so kind of you – thank you!
Beautiful shoes! Where are they from? I love pastel colours like that but always have a fear of ruining them :/
I got them from Debenhams 🙂
Those pumps are very pretty 🙂 I love wearing flats, I never wear heels, although I do find ballet flats are not that supportive so tend to opt for something with a thicker sole.
Glad your scans are all going well too.
You are right about the soles on pumps being very slim. I normally invest a bit more money in them so that I can’t feel every bump in the pavement.
Have a great bank holiday weekend!
I hope you had fun! 🙂
The US needs a bank holiday! You are just too cute with your bump!!
So glad y’all finally know the gender! Enjoy every minute!!
Thanks Ashley. We’re a bit overwhelmed at the moment, but very happy. 🙂
Love those shoes! I had pretzel M&Ms for the first time earlier this year and they were amazing, very few places seem to sell them (probably a good thing really!) x
Definitely – they are so addictive! 🙂
Cute shoes!
Your meals look lovely as always!
Congrats on finding out the babies sex, glad you are pleased 🙂 look forward to hearing what it is when you are ready!
Thanks Lucy! 🙂 x
I LOVE those shoes! And I totally understand wanting to keep the baby’s gender off the blog while you guys have a chance to process and enjoy it! Congrats!!
Thank you Liz. Hope your wedding plans are coming along nicely. 🙂
How exciting!
Your chocolate porridge looks amazing! Blew my mind hehe.
Hehehe! I was a fabulous way to start my day. 🙂
Well don’t you look gorgeous and such a neat little bump! I am a trainers girl but definitely need some pumps for summer but I think it will be some Toms as they’re so comfy! I went fishing with Dale which was loads of fun : )
Aww thanks Tam. 🙂 I’ve always wanted some Toms. I think I may have to invest in some this summer. Glad you had a great time fishing! 🙂
How exciting! With your post title as ‘Pretty Pink Bows’ I thought that was your gender reveal! It’s up to you when you feel ready to share the information with the rest of the world. Very happy that everything is going so well for you. 🙂
I think you spoke too soon with the weather – it has been horrible the last couple of days lol.
Oh, those M&Ms are AMAZING!
Also, I am very jealous of your gym – it looks awesome.
