Morning all! Hope your weekends all got off to a great start. I kick started my weekend yesterday by baking some delicious cookies to take to my family and a prenatal yoga session from YouTube…perfect!
It has been another busy, but productive week for me and even involved a day out in London. Of course it would have been extremely rude of me not to visit WholeFoods whilst I was there. I bought a few treats to bring back home with me:
Nothing unusual to me here, just organic coconut flour (bargain at £3.99), vanilla and plain Coyo, raw chocolate and raw chocolate covered goji berries. I also checked out the beauty range too. I’ve already worked my way through those goji berries already – they are just so addictive! I also did a bit of shopping whilst I was there and decided to expand my maternity wardrobe a little:
I raided H&M and bought a selection of loose fitting racer-back vest tops. These aren’t maternity wear but do come up rather large on me so should last me a good while. I also picked up a very pretty floral navy scarf too:
I’ve been wearing this non-stop this week and it comes up very large, so should be good as a discreet breast-feeding cover up when the baby arrives. Laura recommended some maternity jeans that she found in Primark, so I picked up a pair for £11 to test out. I’m so impressed with them! They are super soft and more importantly comfy.
My workouts this week have been much better than last week:
Monday – walking around London all day
Tuesday – morning gym session (20 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)
Wednesday – REST
Thursday – morning gym session (30 minutes gentle cardio and strength routine)
Friday – REST
Saturday – Prenatal yoga session
Sunday – walking and prenatal evening yoga
I really liked that prenatal yoga session, but think that it may be better suited to later on the pregnancy as I didn’t find it very challenging.
Meals have been very balanced this week too and I’m still making sure that I stay on that veggie bandwagon:
Everything in the fridge vegetable Thai red curry – awesome dinner! This was a great way to use up left over vegetables that needed using up before doing the weekly shop.
Scrambled free range eggs with blueberry conserve and a chopped apple for breakfast
Coyo vanilla coconut yoghurt with fresh raspberries and Dorset Cereals seriously nutty muesli, yum!
Lunch from WholeFoods from the wok station. After roaming around the food market for at least 4 times I finally settled on this fish stir fry packed with lots of vegetables. There is so much choice there that it’s too difficult to choose.
This week my bump has finally popped out. It’s still remains pretty hidden under my clothes, but you can see that there is definitely a little person growing inside me now. I can’t believe that I’m almost halfway through my pregnancy already, time is moving so fast. This week I have been looking at my birth options and considering what should go in my birthing plan in terms of any pain relief etc. It’s such a mind field, but I’m glad that there is so much choice out there. My friend recommended a water birth to me, which soundd very relaxing, but I’m sure that’s not so true, but a great option for a natural birth. I’m sure I will find the best option that will suit me and the little one.
Does anyone have any labour experiences that they can share, personal or of friends and family?
When you visit a place as awesome as WholeFoods do you struggle choosing what to eat? I generally just wanted to have a tapas lunch of everything on offer, unfortunately that option wasn’t on the menu.

I can’t never miss a trip to Wholefoods when I’m in London! Your haul looks delicious, I’m having a huge coyo craving at the moment as Bristol has been completely out for the last fortnight (apparently coyo had a late coconut delivery, meaning all orders are 10 days behind). Such a cute bump!!
I haven’t been to Wholefoods in a while but I always find it so hard trying to decide what to eat! I still need to try Coyo, have only heard good things about it! x
I think that you would love Coyo, so yummy!
I found Mamas & Papas maternity jeans were fab, and they had several £10 sales during my pregnancies. Lovely to hear that you’re planning to breastfeed – I’ve really enjoyed breastfeeding my three (still feeding my youngest two)
I would never think to look there – thanks for the tip. 🙂
My heart was set on a waterbirth(birthplan),unfortunetly my waters broke on a London bus on Monday & thus got induced(don’t even go there,AVOID) on Wednesday(very grateful I had a good pregnancy:)& as for the sleep-deprivation & zombie-like state, it is more than worth it, Jemma!
You’re still have that radiant glow going on, Jemma:)
Enjoy this time while you can as life will never be the same again, lovely!
X
Ooooh I don’t fancy an induction at all, I’m hoping to go into labour naturally, but we shall see. I’m loving every minute of pregnancy 🙂
Your bump is very adorable and you also have that pregnancy glow. Have you heard about hypnobirthing for a natural pregnancy? My friend swore by it. X
Thank you Dana. Not heard of hypnobirthing before, but will have a look. 🙂
I love to pop to Wholefoods- I like the mexican wraps and things that they make up, or the ready made fresh salads.
I have a friend who raves about hypno-birthing, and then another who had all her children at home, one who likes water births- I think everyone is different so it depends what you are after and what you feel comfortable with really- good luck with finding what works for you.
You are so right Maria. Everyone is different, I’m sure I will find something that I will feel comfortable with.
Oh my gosh I think that when I’m back in the UK and able to go to Wholefoods again somebody’s going to have to escort me round so I don’t get overexcited and buy the whole shop! It’s going to be dangerous!
Love the bump 🙂
It’s always dangerous whenever I go in there too, but I was quite good this time round. 🙂
I love Coyo and those raw choc goji’s, the mulberries are awesome too!
I love the mulberries too, so yummy! 🙂
Jealous of your Wholefoods trip! I would have wondered round for hours…
Love that scarf. You can’t beat a good scarf to jazz up an outfit.
I’m glad that I’m not the only one. Luckily I had a train to catch which meant I couldn’t stay longer and spend too much. 🙂
I love the clothes you got from H&M,you have a lovely little bump.

Thank you so much <3 🙂
Ahh! Sweet little baby bump! How precious! Love those shots! 🙂
Thank you Rachel 🙂
A lovely little bump! 🙂
From talking to friends and watching TV I’ve been interested in having a water birth in the future as well, although you never know where you’re going to be when your waters break!
A water birth sounds so amazing, but as you say it could just happen at any time and not go to plan.
I’d love your meals. They look healthy and yummy.
Thank you!
