Going to the gym isn’t for everybody. Many of us join up for an annual membership at the beginning of the year, only to be neither hide nor hair past February. As I mentioned in a previous post, you can get a great and effective workout at home with very basic equipment.
Whether it’s only a chair, a set of dumbbells, or an extensive list of gym equipment, there are many ways of using these to create a weekly workout routine in the comfort of your own home. I’ve been looking on YouTube for some all-over body workouts that could be easily incorporated into your home workout routine.
1. Total Body Workout 7, Cardio, sculpt and tone fitness
2. Cardio Burn Weight Training Workout
3. Jillian Michaels: Shred it With Weights Workout- Level 1
4. 40-Minute Full-Body Workout | Class FitSugar
5. Boxing Cardio Interval Weight-Training Workout: Denise Austin
There is so much on the internet to help you to get fit at home , and the variety is so vast that there really is something for everybody.
Do you have any gym equipment at home?
Have you tried any of the YouTube videos listed above?

I agree with you completely. I actually purchased a few sets of weights, jump rope, DVDs, yoga mat, and a yoga ball for at home workouts about a year ago and made the best of it. There’s so much variety you can do with HIIT routines, YouTube videos, and incorporating cardio with running or hiking. I am happy you shared these ideas, so many people cannot afford the gym or have other reasons for staying away. I really only use my membership for special classes like spin or zumba. Otherwise, it’s always possible to modify or make similar use of weights at home.
Lovely post as always! Very informative 🙂

It’s so true. There is so much variety with home workouts that you don’t really need the gym at all.
