So here we are again, another week has just whizzed by.  I hope you have all had a good one. this week has just gone straight over my head with how busy I am with various things.  The most exciting thing that has happened this week is purchasing our visas for the Sri Lankan leg of our honeymoon…not long now!

Dressing for work can sometimes throw me off.  The dress code at work is quite relaxed as it’s smart casual, which could be interpreted in so different ways and we have to dress smart when we have clients in the office.  Getting up at 6 am every day means that sometimes I am half asleep when I get dressed and not necessarily my most creative.  Having said that I think I put together 2 of my favourite outfits for work this week.

Sorry for the weird facial expression, I must have been concentrating hard to get a decent pic. I wore my Zara blazer with a black vest top tucked into my bright orange skirt from H&M.  This look was completed with a black waist belt, thick black tights and my new wedged black boots from New Look.   I adore that skirt and the pop of colour it brings to the outfit.

This time round I got round to whipping my new polka dot vintage dress that I picked up at the vintage fair a few weeks again.  I teamed it up with my new cosy cardigan from Primark a waist belt from a different dress and thick tights and boots as above.  My favourite bag from Mulberry seems to go everywhere with me, it’s just perfect for carrying my hoard of crap!

It has been another great week of tremendously delicious food for me:

Firstly I must say that this salad was to die for!  I had made a big batch of maple syrup roasted sprouts at the weekend and they were perfect with sliced oven baked apple and figs. These on top of mixed salad leaves, salted maple candied pecans and feta cheese were just a whole next level of goodness.  This maybe one for the recipe page me thinks.

More oven roasted apples and this time with pears dusted with cinnamon and a dollop of almond butter made the most tastiest breakfast.  The reddish an brown tones in this dish reminds me of the colourful leaves that are around at this time of year.  I also added some Greek yoghurt, a little bowl of autumnal perfection.

Persimmons are back!  I have been raving at how great these are to the guys at work when they turned up in the weekly fruit boxes that we have delivered to the office. I was so happy to see them and snapped a couple right up to stash on my desk.  There were also figs in this week’s box and I’ve had my fill of those too:

This little snack on Sunday afternoon was lovely with a spicy chai tea,  Figs, pecan nuts and Greek yoghurt.  Simple, honest food that tastes amazing!

I’m really lucky that we have generally quite a  relaxed approach to our work wear.  I’m glad that we get to our express our personalities through our fashion choices.  In my part time job we all had to wear black, which became boring as I love experimenting with different colours, textures and accessories to create an individual style.

How do you like to dress for the office? Do you have a strict dress code?

What are your favourite things to put on your autumnal inspired salads?
