Recently I have been buying home furnishings left, right and centre for our home. I love everything about vintage and shabby chic interior design…just check out my blog design for instance! There is just so much whimsical prettiness to be had. If I had my own way there would be floral prints and pretty pastels everywhere, but I’m not sure the hubby would approve. So without making the house too feminine I’ve been picking out accessories to indulge my love of shabby chic.
You can pick up little shabby chic touches to adorn your home relatively cheaply, so I thought I would share some of my recent purchases.

When I go out I can’t keep away from home furnishings either! My mum goes nuts when I buy more ‘dust collectors’ !
I loveeee those amazing, massive canvas paintings on walls. Of like sunsets, leaves, forests and oceans and paradise islands! I’m gushing speaking about it. Also huge mirrors with clean cut frames and anything shiny, silver or deep purple! Candle holders are cute, and I have a thing for vintage looking clocks too! Fake flowers also do a pretty good job! And there’s so much choice but no maintenance involved!! 😉
@Tee I am quite addicted to home furnishings too at the moment. They really just add something special to a home so you can stamp your own personality on it.
Love the canisters, so cute! And the ‘There’s no place like home’ plaque is adorable 🙂 I’m quite a big fan of this sort of style too, my ideal home style is the perfect balance of very modern with original features and antique soft feminine and floral touches!
