After my wedding and the tonne of DIY projects that it involved I have taken a bit of a shine to crafting.  When I was younger I used to love to do cross-stitching and my mum even taught me how to knit and crochet.  With Christmas coming up I thought I would get my thinking cap on and think of some ideas for some homemade gifts for that added personal touch.

How about filling some pretty vintage sweet jars with your loved ones favourite retro sweets?  Such a simple and thoughtful gift that is also budget friendly too.  Sweeties always go down a storm, my personal favourites are flying saucers, love sherbet!

Christmas is full of fabulous food and I enjoy baking edible gifts to give to family and friends at this time of year.  You can make it a big deal by getting your children and other family members involved too. The list of what you make is endless from cookies, cake, chocolate truffles.

I’m a great fan of bangles and charm bracelets and I love these handmade fabric wrapped bangles.  They can be personalised to suit the recipients character by the colour, texture and patterns on the fabric.  Such a fantastic gift!

Jam and Chutneys

Another food orientated gift…what can I say!? Ha! Homemade jams and chutneys are great for this time of year along with some lovely cheeses. They would make a wonderful addition to any Christmas food hamper.
