I’m such a tea addict. One of the cupboards in my kitchen is dedicated to my boarding on excessive tea collection.

I so need this cup in my life

A staple tea for me is green tea, which I can drink like water. Last year whilst I was in America I drank green tea regularly with a lemon slice, so delicious! There are so many varieties of green teamade up of different infusions. The supermarket shelves are jam packed full of different green tea varieties and don’t get me started on the different varieties of herbal, fruit and breakfast teas…there are so many to mention.

Tea is the epitome of British tradition; I think stereotypically the British are seen to be sipping tea all day from pretty china cups. After a bad day or after hearing bad news it is always swiftly followed by the chime of “I’ll just put the kettle on!”

Ahhh…so comforting!

Tea is just so comforting, like a big warm hug in a mug! I am definitely one for settling on the sofa in the evening curled up with a mug of tea…heaven!

I also love how celebratory tea can be at a tea party. I have never actually been to a tea party or afternoon tea before, but it’s most certainly on my wish list of things to do. Look at all of those delicious cakes…drool!

I’ve also discovered that my tea preferences will change through out the day too. In the mornings I tend to opt for green tea or a fragrant Earl Grey. During the day I love rooibos, chai, peppermint or green tea. In the evenings I love chai tea with a splash of almond milk or sweet herbal tea.

How do your tea preferences change throughout the day?

What does a great British tea mean to you?
