My word for March was ENJOY and I certainly made sure that I did that as there has been so much going on it has felt like one long celebration. Just this weekend we celebrated our 10 year anniversary since we started dating and Alfie surprised me with this gorgeous bouquet of flowers when he arrived home from work on Friday. I’m one lucky lady!

The little posey that Aiden gave to me at the Mother’s Day church service!
Earlier in the month I celebrated my first ever Mother’s Day and got really spoilt by my two favourite boys. Having my baby has really made me appreciate how wonderfully amazing my mum is and what an awesome job she did raising me and my brother. Literally that same weekend we also celebrated the fact that Alfie passed his last surgical exam. I’m so proud of him!
Of course, it was my birthday only last week and I had a lovely time celebrating with friends and my little family. Thank you for all of your birthday comments, tweets and emails.
I finally got round to visiting the hairdresser’s to get my hair done. It was long overdue and I just loved being pampered whilst my little man spent some quality time at home with his Papa Bear. Next time round I’m hoping to inject a bit of colour into it for a complete change-up.
My fantastic blogging bestie Miranda and I set up a Facebook group called The Lovely Bloggers that seems to be flourishing at the moment. It’s designed to support new and experienced bloggers who may be looking to grow their blogs. I’ve loved reading lots of new blogs and meeting new people.
This month I’ve enjoyed getting creative and sharing my recipes. I’m really getting into food photography and styling at the moment and I’m hoping my new DSLR camera will encourage me further. I posted recipes for my Chicken Rice Noodle Salad, Grain-Free Blueberry and Lemon Muffins, Lemon Macaroon Protein Balls and my Red Pepper and Feta Quiche With a Cauliflower and Quinoa Crust that you seem to just love!

With spring now practically on our doorsteps in the UK, it really is a time to GROW, my word for April. Over the next few weeks, I’ve got some big plans in place to increase my online portfolio and also finally get round to revamping my blog, which may mean that I will be posting less throughout next month. My wardrobe is also in need of some TLC and updating with some new clothes so I’m looking forward to the shopping trip that I have planned with my mum next week. Wishing you all a fantastic April!
How was the March for you? Any special highlights?
Which word would you like to choose for April?

Awww AJ has his first tooth, that is so awesome can not wait to see it when we next meet up. Congrats to Alfie for exam and congrats to both of you for your anniversary and your birthday. March certainly was an amazing month filled with joy for you hun. Mine wasn’t too shabby either.
It came through only last week and it’s not fully grown yet, super cute! We should meet up again soon. I’ll message you later on to see when you’re free. 🙂
Happy belated birthday! Glad it was a good one. And thanks so much for featuring my post! 🙂
You’re very welcome! 🙂
Looks like you had a great March, will so many lovely things to celebrate x
It was the best month for me!
Sounds like you have had a fantastic month!
It was Dan and my dating anniversary this weekend as well. We had been together eight years on the 28th, although we both kind of forgot until halfway through the day so didn’t really do anything for it. What a beautiful bouquet of flowers you received from Alfie! 🙂
Glad you had a lovely birthday as well.
Happy Anniversary! I think the dating anniversary gets a bit lost after you get married, but I think it’s nice to still recognise it even in a small way. 🙂
March has definitely been a good month – especially for birthdays! I’ll have to check out your new Facebook page, that sounds like something I’m interested in joining! I love discovering new blogs too.
If I were to choose a word for April it would be…. Conquer! It’s my final full month of my degree, before I finish in early May. I’m beyond terrified but my aim is to work seriously hard, get the results I want to achieve and deserve. My blog is also part of that work but also for my own personal outlet and I really want to achieve great things with it this month. Plus, it’s almost the end of my eight month training programme at work and I really hope I can get through this last month and prove myself, and then over all feel I’ve conquered the month!
Have a fab April!
She’s So Lucy
Looks like you have had a great month so far! It’s a lovely time of year, and hopefully the weather is going to warm up soon!
Fingers crossed that the warmer weather is getting closer. I could do with some warm spring sunshine.
I’d hope to have an ACTIVE March but it turned out to be a busy kind of active which wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. I think I want April to be a KIND month towards myself and others.
Being kind towards yourself is always a good thing in my book.
Hmmm I’m quite happy March is over. I can’t see April being entirely better but time will tell.
Glad March was so good for you guys. Sounds like you have lots to be very happy about 🙂
Ah…I hope you have a great April, sorry that March wasn’t peachy for you. I have my fingers crossed for you!
I like this reflective style post! I’d say my word for April is celebrate! Celebrate Easter…the resurrection, my daughter’s 5th birthday and hopefully some warm weather! xox
There is certainly a lot to celebrate in April too. I hope that you have a good one. 🙂
Im glad you had such a wonderful month. The first tooth is a little hard but as time goes on lil man will get use to it as will you! welcome to mommy life!
Thankfully it didn’t seem to bother our little man too much. He looks so cute with his one tooth.
Congrats on your 10 year anniversary guys! What a beautiful family you are!
Awww that’s so sweet Lucie, thank you!
I had a pretty good March, with a new marathon pb and 2 weeks of holidays for my birthday including Paris and Rome which were amazing. Looks like you had a great month.
Sounds like you’ve had lots to celebrate. Happy belated birthday! 🙂
Thanks for creating The Lovely Bloggers. I love the new group. It has helped me to get my blog out there a little more. I really enjoy reading and discovering new blogs that I would never have found on my own! March has been a good month for me as well.
So glad that you are enjoying the group. We’ve really loved setting it up and meeting new bloggers. 🙂
