One of my favourite movies of all time is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The iconic scene of the very beautiful Audrey Hepburn, stood outside that famous store, dreaming of owning a diamond or two in her little black dress looking the epitome of class and sophistication is magical.
The little black dress has become synonymous with that scene and now a wardrobe staple for many women around the world. I’ve put together a collection of items from the high street to create one of my favourite ways to wear a little black dress, not forgetting those essential string of pearls.
1. Black crepe mini dress, New Look.
2. Royal pearl statement necklace, Accessorize.
3. Textured weave jacket, H&M.
4. Rouge Allure lipstick, Chanel.
5. Black patent stiletto, Outerinner.
6. Natural contrast piped clutch bag, Debenhams.
I think the little black dress has become such a favourite because it can be worn with literally anything. Dressed for work with a jacket and ballet pumps, then re-styled with some heels and pearls for the evening. It can take you from day to night with so much ease. Check out my one dress three ways vlog for some inspiration on how to restyle a little black dress.
Do you own a little black dress? What is your favourite way to wear it?

I have a couple of LBDs and they are so useful! I have ones I can wear for work but also dress up and others strictly for special occasions. This collection is so elegant Jemma!
They are so versatile, definitely a fab wardrobe staple!
I don’t have a black dress- I tend to buy patterned ones or ones with more colour. I do have some that are black with things on them, but I tend to go for navy rather than black.
Navy is a lovely alternative to black as it can look quite harsh sometimes. 🙂
I love the film Breakfast At Tiffanys too! I think that will always be an all time favourite. Loving that little LBD!
It such a classic isn’t it, love it!
