Now this wouldn’t be a healthy living blog without a fitness focused fashion post.  My fitness wardrobe is looking a little tired and dated and after looking around the shops and online I was surprised to discover how much there is out there.  I can now look stylish whilst breaking a sweat in the gym, what’s not to love. Here are some of my top picks for those fashionably fit amongst us:

1. Nike Air Max+ 2013 Womens Running Shoes, Sports Shoes.com.

2. Surya 2 In 1 Yoga Vest, Sweaty Betty.

3.  Ayami Full-Length Tights, Asics.

4. Sports bra, H&M.

5. Skinny Seamless Headband, Sweaty Betty.

6. Sports top, H&M.

7. Nike Pro Capri II Women’s Compression Running Tights, Sports Shoes.com.

8.  Grey Polo Neck Top, TK Maxx.

9.  Ain’t No Tee by Reebok, Zalando.

9. Nike Leg Print Capri Tights, JJB Sports.com

What I love is that you no longer have to go to sports shops to get your gym gear.  TK Maxx is a firm favourite of mine,  but I have also been impressed with the likes of high street fashion stores like H&M.  Of course Sweaty Betty has always been at the top when it comes to fitness and fashion, I just love that yoga vest.

In the past I’ve tended to just stick with black or darker colours, but no more.  A few weeks ago I was asked to review some fitness gear and chose the funky bright turquoise running Nike trainers above and the Nike compression tights.  I’m in love with the trainers and feel a bit like a kangaroo in them as they add such a spring to my step. The compression tights are surprisingly comfortable. I was worried that I was going to have a Sandy from Grease moment and that they would be far too tight. But luckily I didn’t have to do my rendition of ‘You’re the one that I want!’

After all of this browsing I now want to go and buy new fitness wear.  I’m definitely on the lookout for more funky sports bras, yoga pants, leggings and tank tops.
