Well September, let’s be honest you were a pretty amazing month!

Autumn has well and truly settled in and the leaves have started to change colour.  I seriously love the beautiful colours of autumn.  This picture is actually of a vine grown on the front of one of the cottages in the village which I snapped on my way back from town.

Highlights from the month include watching Alfie compete with his colleagues in a dragon boat racing competition:

This was such a fun day out and the weather was just gorgeous.  Dragon boat racing is definitely something that I would love to try myself in the future.

We enjoyed a cosy night in with a movie and pizza and red wine for me:

I picked out my autumn fashion wish list, full of items that I want to update my wardrobe with:

At the weekend I actually did a spot of shopping, which I will be sharing with you tomorrow.

I got to get all glammed up for a surgical dinner at Oxford University:

Another occasion to get dressed up for was the most gorgeous Indian wedding of our friends:

It was also lovely to catch up with other friends that we hadn’t seen in a while too.

I also got busy in the kitchen and blogged some super tasty recipes:

3. Apple and Blueberry Frangipane Tart

4.  Macadamia and Coconut Protein Truffles

Also, C&C turned 3 this month!  I don’t understand where the time has gone, but I’m really having a blast where blogging is concerned right now.  It’s hard to believe that I‘ve managed to babble on for 3 whole years, but there is plenty more to come.  I just wanted to say thank you to all of my amazing readers and fantastic blog sponsors for your support and making this happen!

October already looks set to be one incredible month as Alfie’s birthday is coming up and we are off on our proper honeymoon to Sri Lanka and the Maldives at the end of the month.  It does mean that I will be missing my favourite autumn celebrations, Halloween and Bonfire Night, but on this occasion I think I will let it slide.

I honestly don’t really have any goals for October.  In most parts I want to focus on myself a little bit as I feel when work is super busy I forget to take care of myself and get run down and a little overwhelmed.  This will include attending hot yoga classes and a hair dressers appointment.  Ultimately, I just want to have a good time and enjoy my honeymoon.

Fingers crossed that October is just as great as September!

How was September for you?  What are you most looking forward to in October?
